English Camp

Well, I finished the week of teaching English Camp. This time we had 40 kids, two classes of twenty. Below are pictures of my my classes. These are students from two local Korean middle schools. They are first or second year English language lerners. Once again, these students were great. They could be chatty at times, but they were eager students and that is always a blessing for the teacher.

There were two of us from my school teaching, Riley Edwards and myself. We each had each group for half the day (3 hours). I taught 2 hours of writing and then we played games for an hour. The kids learned how to write and essay and by the end of the week, I had some decent esesays.

I must admit I was really dreading this week. The first time I taught English Camp, it just wasn't the most fun. God is gracious, and I enjoyed it more this time. The oppourtunity to make some extra cash was a huge blessing, but I am glad that I was better able to enjoy teaching the camp. I will admit though, that I gladly return to teaching math in but a few weeks--I have no desire to become and ELD teacher and give kuddos to those who do!
